The City of Hialeah Gardens Parks and Recreation Department’s mission is providing and maintaining open spaces for safe and organized activities to the residents of The City of Hialeah Gardens.

The Parks and Recreation Department offers recreational services to its residents in four main park facilities plus several smaller neighborhood parks. Our primary location is Westland Gardens Park. We have two banquet halls, the smallest hall accommodates up to 100 people and the largest hall accommodates up to 130 people. Residents may rent the hall, for a modest cost, or other outdoor park facilities.

Residents can also play tennis and basketball on our newly built courts, swim in the heated swimming pool, watch high school baseball games in our professional sized baseball field, or let their children play in our large, well-equipped playground and a children’s wet zone which provides a fun and safe play environment for our younger visitors.

The Park also boasts a variety of programs for our community’s youth. There is an ongoing baseball league with up to 400 participants, a swim team, dance classes, YMCA summer program, Neko-Do Systems Goju Ryu karate classes, soccer, and a basketball leagues as well. Westland Gardens Park is fully staffed, in order to insure the safety and well being of the children and visitors.

Adjacent to Hialeah Gardens Elementary School is Golden Eagle Park. The three-acre park contains a playground area, bathrooms, concession stand, and Gazebos which can also be rented for birthday parties or family celebrations. Golden Eagle Park is designed for children aged 12 and under.

In the central area of the city is Joe Sherron Park. Particularly designed with families in mind, this facility features outdoor gazebos and a children’s playground. Designed for shade and picnics, Bernie Wilson Park is within the southern district of the city. All around the City, small area and linear parks designed for families to take an afternoon stroll together, are available.

The Parks and Recreation Department looks forward to having your family visit our parks.
